After a few months off to dust off the cobwebs, we are now back and planning the DineAid Christmas 2009 campaign, set to run from 1st November through to 31st December 2009.

Dineaid is the charity of the New Zealand restaurant industry where 100% of all funds raised during Nov/Dec 2009 are distributed to City Missions – Food Banks in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch regions. Money that is used to give those in need a helping hand.
Dineaid fundraises by adding an optional $2 per table to guest bills during November & December only! Whether there are 2 or 10 people on a table, it remains just $2 per table, optional and paid by the bill payer.

This year we have two amazing initiatives that we want to tell you about:

1. We are very proud to announce a partnership with the wonderful people at MenuMania.co.nz

Not only can you use this site to find a participating DineAid restaurant in your region, but there are many other great features of the site worth checking out.

Obviously if you are a restaurant and would like to take part, then we would love to hear from you.

This year, participating establishments can benefit from an extensive marketing campaign with value of about $3,000 per venue. If you are interested in learning more, then click here to register.

2. Sunday Star Times Restaurant Month – October 2009

This October’s platinum foodie event is the Sunday Star-Times “Restaurant Month”, a deliciously gastronomic four weeks where everyone gets the chance to “ditch the dishes” and dine out in over 150 of New Zealand’s finest restaurants, fabulous menus at irresistible prices from $20.

The Sunday Star-Times “Restaurant Month” 2009 features restaurants exclusively from DINEAID, the charity of the New Zealand restaurant industry where 100% of all funds raised get distributed to City Missions – Food Banks in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch regions.
